1.3 Additional Safety Equipment

All equipment will meet the necessary safety requirements with verification of operational status through our valid vehicle/equipment technical inspections. Nad-Associates conducts these quality control inspections on a scheduled and unscheduled basis. An inspection form is completed with any deficiencies noted for immediate correction.
Nad-Associates equipment will be fully equipped with the following safety
features:

NAD’S EQUIPMENT SAFETY FEATURES AS REQUIRED

• Audible backup alarms to a 20-meter radius
• Fire Extinguishers, mounted with easy access and removal (rated A,B,C)
• Glass on all cabs to be free of cracks/pitting and have clear visibility in all directors
• Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) frame mounts for roll over protection
• Correctly installed 3 point seatbelts to be used at all times while operating
• All lighting to be in good working and functional order

Stop lights
Headlights
Turn signals

• All braking systems checked and fully functional and good working order

Main braking system
Parking brake
Emergency brake

• Equipment systems all fully functional and good working order

Electrical system
Charging systems
Starting
Batteries (included hold down mounts)

• Hydraulic system (all lines and cylinders free of breaks and leaks)
• Tires and Wheels

Tires have at least 70% tread or better on all trucks and trailers
Wheel lug nuts firmly in tact on each wheel (none missing)

• Steering Axels

Clear from any recaps or re-tread tires on all over-the-road trucks

• Shrouds and Guards

Radiator shrouds to prevent hands/foreign objects from contacting fan blades
Guards in place over all accessible drive lines and rotating components
